Spod Lithium Wins $200K Grant from Ontario for North Nipigon-Niemi Lithium Project

Spod Lithium Corp. (CSE: SPOD) (OTCQB: SPODF) has secured a $200,000 grant from Ontario’s Junior Exploration Program (OJEP) to support exploration at the North Nipigon-Niemi Project. The company, focusing on lithium exploration, earns a full interest in the Niemi Block and owns the North Nipigon Block A, B, and C.

Government of Ontario Supports Lithium Exploration

The grant aims to enhance critical mineral exploration within Ontario. It covers up to 50% of eligible costs. In 2023, SPOD’s exploration identified four areas of interest for further work in 2024. Minister George Pirie emphasized the importance of such projects for the province’s mining future.

2024 Exploration Goals and Assay Highlights

CEO Chris Cooper expressed gratitude for the government’s support. This funding helps expand exploration in the mineral-rich North Nipigon-Niemi area. Notable achievements include a 1.507% Li2O sample. 2024 plans involve aggressive geological mapping and prospecting, particularly in Blocks A and B.
