New Energy Metals Unveils Discovery of Lithium Pegmatites at Roslyn Project, Ontario

Successful Exploration at Roslyn Lithium Project

New Energy Metals Corp. (TSXV:ENRG) has announced the discovery of pegmatites following the initial exploration program at the Roslyn Lithium Project in Ontario’s Georgia Lake Pegmatite field. Encompassing 12 mining claims, the 5,100 hectare-property showcases significant lithium values.

Exploration Highlights

Initial testing detected lithium values ranging from 100 to 15,600 ppm Li, with 23 samples chosen for further assays. The use of handheld LIBS technology facilitated the swift geochemical analysis of the samples on-site. Dense vegetation challenges were overcome using drone surveillance to identify key pegmatite exposures.

The discovered pegmatites, with their unique compositions including quartz, feldspar, and muscovite, varied in thickness up to 5 meters and were located across diverse geological settings. The property itself is rich in various geologically beneficial features such as muscovite bearing granites and numerous faults that act as pathways for pegmatitic developments.

Strategic Location and Importance

CEO Rishi Kwatra expressed enthusiasm over the exploration results, citing the strategic positioning of the Roslyn property within a prolific rare-element region. The area is known for numerous lithological occurrences and is an important hub for lithium exploration.

The company is progressing towards further exploratory work, capitalizing on the property’s fertile geological landscape and leveraging its strategic location to enhance its resource development endeavors.
