ALX Resources Corp. (TSXV: AL.V) has announced the successful completion of its prospecting program at the McKenzie Lake Uranium Project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The program aimed to investigate uranium mineralization indicated by a 2021 airborne radiometric survey.

McKenzie Lake 2023 Prospecting Program Highlights

The geological team, supported by helicopter access, spent six days in October 2023 prospecting key areas. They focused on Boulder #1, which displayed significant radioactivity, and other targets identified previously. The team used a RS-125 Super-SPEC gamma-ray spectrometer to measure radioactivity in the field.

Excavation of Boulder #1 revealed its larger size and association with hydrothermal hematite alteration, suggesting proximity to the original bedrock source. A second boulder, Boulder #2, also showed high radioactivity levels and is composed of hematized syenite, indicating potential for uranium mineralization.

Samples from the prospecting program have been sent to SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories for analysis, with results pending.

Future Exploration at McKenzie Lake

ALX plans further exploration based on the findings from the 2023 program. The company’s strategic approach includes utilizing advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to refine target areas for surface prospecting.
