Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a global leader in essential elements for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health, has announced Neal Sheorey as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Nov. 6, 2023.

Leadership Transition at Albemarle

Scott Tozier, the current executive vice president and CFO, will become a strategic advisor to the CEO. Albemarle CEO Kent Masters praised Tozier’s leadership and commitment to the company’s core values.

Neal Sheorey’s Background

Sheorey comes from Dow, a global materials science company, where he held various leadership roles. He was vice president of Dow’s Coatings & Performance Monomers business unit, responsible for the group’s strategy, profitability, and growth initiatives.

Sheorey holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University.
