Q Battery Metals Reports 622 ppm Lithium in Pegmatite Samples from La Corne South Project

Q Battery Metals Corp. (QBAT.CN) has announced updates on the La Corne South project in Val-d’Or, Quebec. The geological team of Q Battery Metals completed extensive sampling of pegmatite outcrops discovered earlier this year. The recent sampling program used a diamond bladed rock saw to cut a larger volume of material from the pegmatite outcrops. Samples were sent directly to ALS Laboratory in North Vancouver, B.C.

In June, the company completed rock sampling and submitted pegmatite samples to ALS Laboratory in Val-d’Or, Quebec. Seven rock samples from the June and September programs were submitted to ALS. The sampling included rock chip, grab samples, float blocks, and channel saw sampling. Six samples were from pegmatitic material outcrops or boulders, and one from a volcanic outcrop with significant pyrite and pyrrhotite mineralization (WP69).

The best lithium value of 622 ppm was obtained from blocks of rock found at surface on the margin of a ridge of outcrop. These blocks returned elevated Li, Cs, Al, and Be, indicators for potentially lithium-bearing pegmatite. The blocks are interpreted as having been derived from a nearby source.

The geological team conducted a property-wide tour of the La Corne South Property lithium target area in August 2023. The property is well crossed by good condition resource roads. The company is recommended to continue ground geophysical surveys to identify potential pegmatite beneath the sediment cover. These surveys will add to the data from previous drone-supported magnetics and ground IP chargeability surveys, providing more defined targets for diamond drilling.
