The company received a binding commitment for a BRL 487 million loan from BNDES, the National Brazilian Bank for Economic and Social Development. This loan fully funds the construction of Sigma Lithium’s Second Greentech Carbon Neutral Plant in Brazil.

Focus on Sustainability with Sigma Lithium’s Greentech Plant

Sigma Lithium has already begun construction on the new facility, following the Board of Directors’ final investment decision. With this development, the company expects to double its production capacity from 270,000 to 520,000 tonnes of Quintuple Zero Green Lithium per year.

Loan Terms and Financial Strategy

The development loan offers a 16-year repayment period with a favorable interest rate of 7.45% annually. This arrangement allows Sigma Lithium to retire its short-term trade finance lines, bolstering its financial strategy.
