Blackrock Silver Corp. (TSXV: BRC) (OTCQX: BKRRF) has announced the commencement of drilling at its Tonopah West project, located nearby Tonopah, Nevada, within the Walker Lane trend.
The fully-funded drill program includes 20,000 meters of drilling with 50 planned drillholes. Three rigs are operational: two core and one RC drill rig. Drilling is expected to be completed by year-end.
Blackrock Silver’s Drilling Objectives at Tonopah West
Andrew Pollard, President and CEO, stated that the program aims to grow and de-risk mineral inventory. The goal is to convert inferred resources into measured and indicated categories in the Bermuda and Merten vein systems. Expansion drilling targets the vein corridor gap to link DPB and NW Step-out resource areas.
The RC drill will complete fifty pre-collar holes, while core drills will finish core tails to the target depth. The program aims to convert around one million tonnes of high-grade silver and gold, targeting grades within the Bermuda and Merten vein systems at shallow depths.
Expanding Tonopah West’s Resource Potential
Further objectives include expanding the 1-kilometer gap between DPB and NW Step-out areas, connecting the 4-kilometer silver-gold system. Ten drillholes on a widely spaced grid totaling 8,000 meters are planned.
