Durango Resources Inc. (TSX.V-DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OTCQB-ATOXF) has announced the completion of a site visit to its wholly owned Discovery Property in the James Bay region of Québec.

Exploration Team Assesses Discovery Property

Durango sent an exploration team to evaluate road access and the damage caused by the 2023 fires in northern Québec. These fires exposed outcropping rocks on certain areas of the Discovery Property by burning through trees, brush, and moss.

Mapping and Sampling of Pegmatite Dykes

Additional pegmatite dykes were noted and mapped during the site visit. Grab samples from each dyke will be assessed by AGAT Laboratories for lithium, cesium, tantalum potential. The fires have enhanced the visibility of these rocks, exposing multiple pegmatite dykes.

Figure 1 illustrates the pegmatite dyke outcrops.

Potential for Rare Mineral Occurrences

One of the dykes in the south contains significant quantities of muscovite mica. It’s hypothesized that volatile and incompatible element enrichment has been retained more effectively in these pegmatites, increasing the likelihood of rare mineral occurrences at depth. Drilling is recommended.
