Midland Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: MD), in partnership with Rio Tinto Exploration Canada Inc. (RTEC), has started a groundbreaking $5.8M CAD drilling program on the Galinée project, targeting high-grade lithium deposits.
Key Highlights of the Drilling Program
The initiative aims to explore the Iceberg Showing, characterized by spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes, extending over a 600 metres strike length with impressive grab samples grading up to 7.2% Li2O. Furthermore, Midland and RTEC plan an additional $1.3M CAD exploration program, spreading across ten projects including Komo and Shire.
Exploration and Discovery Potential
The Iceberg showing has revealed spodumene outcrops with high lithium grades. Nearby, the Iceberg Southwest and South showings demonstrate the expansive potential for lithium discovery in the area. The projects, situated near significant lithium deposits and geological contacts, suggest a promising outlook for lithium sourcing.
