Brunswick Exploration’s Lithium Discovery at Mirage Project, Quebec
Brunswick Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: BRW, OTCQB: BRWXF) has announced significant lithium mineralization findings from its fall 2023 drill program at Mirage Project in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay region of Quebec. Two new spodumene mineralized dykes, MR-5 and MR-6, exhibit notable thickness and grade within the Central Zone.
Key Findings from the Drilling Program
Drill hole MR-23-28 has revealed high-grade mineralization of 1.80% Li2O spanning 37.2 meters from the surface in the new MR-6 dyke. Furthermore, closely situated MR-23-35 intercepted 1.1% Li2O over 11.5 meters, indicating potential dyke stacking within the Central Zone. Additional drill holes have also intercepted spodumene-bearing pegmatites, with a majority remaining open along strike and at depth.
President and CEO Killian Charles expressed high satisfaction with the drill program, emphasizing the dykes’ expansive strike length and depth, paving the way for the upcoming Phase 2 drilling initiative.
Central Zone and MR-6 Dyke Insights
The MR-6 dyke’s detection was supported by a series of drill holes showing a pattern of high-grade Li2O. Samples from the program underwent rigorous quality control, reinforcing the MR-6 dyke’s potential as a resource asset, due to its strong grade and shallow dip. MR-5 dyke’s notable findings complement this, highlighting the area’s promising geological structure for lithium exploration.
Company exploration efforts in the area have triggered the uncovering of various new lithium spodumene-bearing zones, indicating the Central Zone’s significant potential for further lithium discoveries.
