Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) Advances Mia Lithium Drill Program
Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) has announced the latest developments in Phase 1 of its inaugural drill program at the Mia Lithium Property, spanning 8,668 hectares in Quebec’s Eeyou Istchee James Bay Territory.
The drill program aims to test the Mia Lithium Exploration Trend, starting at the Mia Zone and extending to the Carte Zone. Currently, two active drill rigs are operational in these areas.
Alicia Milne, Q2 CEO & President, expressed excitement about the drill program’s progress, which has benefited from favorable weather and will continue into December. Neil McCallum, Q2 VP Exploration, reported that initial drilling has revealed a series of stacked, parallel pegmatite bodies, with shallow dips between 25 and 30 degrees, similar to the nearby James Bay deposit.
To date, 12 drill holes have been completed, with the first five holes showing visual signs of spodumene mineralization. These samples are being prepared for laboratory analysis to confirm lithium presence.
The company is also preparing for Phase 2 of the program, with permits received and work commenced on a winter access trail to facilitate exploration.
