Grid Battery Metals Initiates Drilling at Clayton Valley Lithium Project

Grid Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV: CELL, OTCQB: EVKRF) has announced the start of a reverse circulation drilling program at its Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada. This strategic land package spans 2,300 acres adjacent to Albemarle’s evaporation ponds. The company plans to drill several exploration holes to depths of 1,500 feet this month.

Clayton Valley Lithium Project Overview

This project neighbors Albemarle’s Silver Peak Mine, North America’s only operational lithium brine mining site. Additionally, it is close to Century Lithium’s Angel Island project, which has a 40-year mine life feasibility study with a notable NPV. The ongoing drilling aims to lay the groundwork for future exploration programs.

Drilling Program Details

The current reverse circulation drilling is expected to conclude by early October. The program aims to identify clay and sediment layers alongside potential water zones. Samples will include both drill cuttings and collected water, ensuring comprehensive data for future analysis.

Expert Supervision and Site Analysis

Envirotech Drilling LLC manages the drilling, supervised by Rangefront Geological and the company’s Qualified Person, Steven McMillin, P.G. According to Mr. McMillin, the presence of a major northeast fault might suggest a fluid conduit at depth, pointing towards potential lithium accumulation.
