Sigma Lithium Secures BRL 487 Million Loan for Eco-friendly Plant Expansion

Sigma Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: SGML) has achieved a significant milestone with the acquisition of a binding commitment from BNDES for a BRL 487 million loan. This 16-year loan fully funds the construction of their Second Greentech Carbon Neutral Plant in Brazil.

Sigma Lithium’s Expansion Plans for Greentech Plant

Sigma Lithium is set to double its production capacity with this new plant. The second facility will increase their Quintuple Zero Green Lithium output from 270,000 to 520,000 tonnes annually.

Loan Terms and Development Plan

The 16-year Development Loan comes with favorable terms, including a low interest rate and an 18-month grace period. Construction has already begun on site, with completion targeted for summer 2025.
