Sorrento Resources Expands Lord Baron Copper-Gold Project in Newfoundland

Sorrento Resources Ltd. (CSE: SRS) (OTCQB: SRSLF), a Canadian exploration company, has announced the staking of two additional mineral licenses covering 750 hectares adjacent to its 100%-owned Lord Baron Copper-Gold Project in Newfoundland. This expansion increases the project size to 6,400 hectares.

Expansion Highlights

The new licenses significantly expand the project and consolidate Sorrento Resources‘ strategic position over the Springdale district. The newly acquired land remains largely underexplored and presents opportunities for new discoveries. Notable features include five documented mineral occurrences and three historic shafts.

About the Lord Baron Project

The Lord Baron Project is located on the Springdale peninsula, Newfoundland and Labrador, near Springdale, Little Bay, and Beachside. The region boasts a rich mining history, skilled workforce, and proximity to essential infrastructure like deep water ports and an industrial hydroelectric power supply. The project now consists of 15 mineral licenses comprising 256 claims over 6,400 hectares, predominantly underlain by rocks of the Lush’s Bight Group of the Appalachian Orogen.

Management Commentary

Alex Bugden, P. Geo., Director, and Qualified Person of Sorrento Resources Ltd., stated, “We are excited to announce the expansion of the Lord Baron Project. This acquisition makes us one of the largest landholders in the Springdale district and provides many new exploration targets. Staking these claims ourselves also adds significant value at little cost.”

Shares for Services
