Power Nickel Inc. (TSXV: PNPN) (OTCBB: PNPNF) (Frankfurt: IVVI) has announced an exciting discovery adjacent to its main Nisk Deposit. The first drill hole in a follow-up program has encountered a mineralized zone indicative of high-grade Platinum Group Metals (PGM) including copper, platinum, palladium, gold, and silver.
Discovery of High-Grade PGM Zone
The hole intersected significant chalcopyrite stringers and veils, revealing dense mineralization. This new zone, encountered at a depth of 168.5 meters, shows potential for extensive PGM rich deposits. Power Nickel’s CEO, Terry Lynch, expressed enthusiasm about extending this high-grade zone and the implications for the Nisk Project’s value.
Exploratory Drilling and Future Plans
Kenneth Williamson, Power Nickel VP Exploration, highlighted the strategic drilling efforts aimed at both the new Copper-PGM rich zone and underlying ultramafic units for nickel. Current work supports a predictive geological model, promising for further exploration.
