European Energy Metals (TSXV: FIN) (FSE: W28) has announced the granting of the Nabba and Nabba 2 Exploration Licences by the Finnish Chemical and Safety Agency, TUKES. These licences, covering 2,780 and 1,740 hectares within the Central Finland Lithium Project, will enable advanced exploration activities, including diamond drilling, in 2024.
Exploration Advances in Central Finland
European Energy Metals is set to commence its 2024 exploration plans, which will include prospecting, geological mapping, ground geophysics, trenching, and diamond drilling. The licences allow for these advanced explorations under the Finnish Mineral Act for an initial period of four years, with the possibility of 15-year extensions.
Lithium Mineralization Discovery Highlights
In 2023, prospecting identified multiple lithium-bearing spodumene pegmatites at the Kyrola Prospect within the Nabba Reservation. Notably, rock chip grab samples revealed lithium oxide grades ranging from 3.84% to 0.003%, with a significant proportion exceeding 0.50% Li2O. This suggests potential for substantial lithium deposits, warranting further exploration and analysis.
Strategic Positioning and Exploration Targets
The exploration licences, situated less than 8 km from Keliber’s Spodumene Concentrator Plant, promise lucrative synergy and proximity to established lithium resources. With the licences granted, European Energy Metals anticipates drilling to delineate the source of the identified spodumene-bearing boulders.
QA/QC protocols adhere strictly to industry standards, ensuring rigorous monitoring of sampling accuracy and precision. The forward focus for European Energy Metals includes detailed exploration to underscore the project’s potential in Europe’s growing lithium market.
