Lithium Discovery at Willcox Expands with New Diamond Drill Hole
Max Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced the expansion of its Willcox lithium discovery in Arizona, marked by the initiation of a fourth diamond drill hole located three miles south of the initial drill series. Each of these holes encountered significant lithium claystone sequences and multiple fluid sequences.
Significant Intersections in Recent Drilling
The recent drill hole, WP-23-03, connected a lithium claystone sequence spanning from the surface to the final depth of 1,007 feet, revealing multiple fluid sequences potentially bearing lithium mineralization. This adds a distinct feature to the site’s geology.
The previous triangular drill pattern contributed to the property’s volume potential, adding to the evidence of an extensive near-surface lithium-rich system in the less explored Willcox Playa area, surrounded by robust infrastructure.
Anticipation for Assay Results
Samples have been sent to the lab with initial assay results eagerly awaited. These will supplement the data obtained via Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, further illustrating the extensive lithium presence.
Expansion into the North American Lithium Sector
As Max Power Mining Corp. approaches its second year, it reinforces its position in leveraging North American lithium resources for decarbonization. Significant acquisitions in Quebec and a partnership with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory underline this direction.
The fourth drilling effort targets specific resistivity and gravity anomalies, with completion and subsequent additional drilling expected imminently.
