Q Battery Metals Expands Gold Exploration at McKenzie East, Val d’Or

Q Battery Metals Corp. (CSE:QMET) recently detailed its exploration strategy for the McKenzie East Gold Project, situated 25 kilometres north of Val d’Or, Quebec. The company is gearing up to build on the successful exploration work conducted from 2020 to 2021, which includes diamond drilling authorized by a 2022 permit.

Expansion of Gold Exploration Efforts

Q Battery Metals will broaden its diamond drilling program, aiming to replicate the promising results from the 2021 Phase 1 drilling. The team is eyeing the southern claim block, targeting gold-silver quartz veins akin to the adjacent Maruska Showing. A rock sample from Maruska yielded 3.41 g/t gold and 2.58 g/t silver, fueling interest in the area’s high-grade gold potential.

McKenzie East Project Prospects

The company will conduct additional drilling to scrutinize the geophysical features associated with the C2-B mineral showing, and to follow up on the appealing geological formation and gold intercepts discovered in hole MKE-21-03. The promising results of that drill hole included a visible gold grain, emphasizing the significance of the findings. Moreover, Q Battery is planning exploration work on the southern claim block, with prospecting and mapping set for spring 2024.

Adjacencies to Monarch Mining Corporation

McKenzie East borders the Monarch Mining Corporation’s McKenzie Break Project, which boasts an estimated gold resource as indicated in their latest assessment. The proximity to Monarch’s project underlines the potential of the Q Battery’s property, though it emphasizes that estimated resources on an adjacent property do not imply similar mineralization.

La Corne South Lithium and VMS Project

In addition to gold exploration, Q Battery will pursue its lithium and VMS project at La Corne South. The company’s upcoming plans include an Induced Polarization survey set for January 2024. Both the McKenzie East and La Corne South projects benefit from their strategic location near Highway 397.
