Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (PMET.V) has announced a promising start to its drill exploration at the CV9 Pegmatite with the discovery of significant spodumene occurrences. The CV9 spodumene pegmatite, situated approximately 14km west of the CV5 site, which boasts a resource estimate of 109.2 million tonnes at 1.42% lithium oxide, shows potential for substantial scale.
Darren L. Smith, the company’s VP of Exploration, expressed optimism, noting the impressive 100 m spodumene-bearing interval in the final drill hole. The summer-fall drill program concluded with 18 holes, totaling around 4,000 m of NQ coring at the CV9 site.
The Corvette property stands out as the largest lithium pegmatite resource in the Americas by lithium carbonate equivalent and ranks among the world’s top ten. Following the news, Patriot Battery Metals’ shares saw a 5% increase, with the company’s market capitalization reaching C$1.23 billion.
