Galileo Resources PLC (GLR.L) has announced the steady progress of its phase two drilling program at the Shinganda copper-gold project in Zambia. To date, the company has completed seven holes. The most recent, SHDD017, has revealed a significant alteration and brecciation interval with copper mineralisation within the Shinganda fault splay system. The company confirms mineralisation and is currently sampling for laboratory assaying.
Chief Executive Officer Colin Bird highlights the importance of the findings: “SHDD017 stands out with an intercept over 250 metres, showing extensive brecciation and consistent copper mineralisation, pending assay results. The unique host environment suggests we may be looking at a new style of mineralisation, distinct from the traditional copper belt types.”
