Sigma Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: SGML) announces receipt of a 50% prepayment from Glencore for its third shipment of Triple Zero Green Lithium, totaling 20,000 tonnes. This prepayment reflects a premium pricing at a 9% provisional price of lithium hydroxide at LME for Sigma Lithium’s unique product.

Building a Sustainable Lithium Supply Chain

The shipment is part of an agreement with Glencore aiming to build a low carbon, sustainable global lithium supply chain for electric vehicles. In addition to Glencore’s prepayment, Sigma Lithium can draw upon green credit lines from Santander and XP Inc upon delivery of its product to the Vitoria Port warehouses managed by Multilift.

Sigma Lithium’s Triple Zero Green Lithium

Sigma Lithium has significantly reduced its carbon footprint with pioneering initiatives. Its Triple Zero Green Lithium is produced at its Greentech lithium plant at the Grota do Cirilo Project in Brazil, the world’s first lithium project without a tailings dam. This prevents water and soil contamination, contributing to the preservation of local rivers and forests.

About Sigma Lithium
