Li3 Lithium Corp. (TSXV: LILI) (FSE: WD9) has announced Robert Metcalfe’s appointment to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Metcalfe, a senior partner at Lang Michener LLP for 20 years, has held significant roles across various industries. He served as CEO and President of Armadale Properties, Counsel to all Armadale Group of Companies, and was a director of Canada Lands Company Ltd. and CN Tower Ltd.

Metcalfe’s directorship extends to public and private corporations like Gran Colombia Gold, Medoro Resources, Petro Magdalena, Blue Star Gold, BetterLife Pharma Ltd., Pasofino Gold, Orvana Minerals Corp., and Strategic Minerals Europe. He has participated in numerous acquisitions, divestitures, corporate reorganizations, and financings.

Steve Dunn, Chair of the Board of Li3 Lithium, welcomed Metcalfe, highlighting his legal and corporate finance expertise, leadership, and natural resource development experience.

In other news, Li3 Lithium’s Board has approved the grant of 200,000 stock options to certain directors, officers, and consultants, subject to regulatory and TSX Venture Exchange approval. The stock options have an exercise price of $0.10 per share, vest immediately, and have a 3-year term.

Following Metcalfe’s appointment, Rex Loesby has resigned from the Board. The Board expressed gratitude for his service.
