LithiumBank Resources Corp. (TSXV: LBNK) (OTCQX: LBNKF) has announced the completion of drilling through the entire 232-meter thickness of the Leduc Formation at the Boardwalk Lithium Brine Project in Alberta, Canada. The Company successfully extended its 100%-owned well, increasing the known thickness of the Leduc from 206 meters to 232 meters.
Focus on Leduc Formation Drilling
The drilling intersected 84 meters of the porous Swan Hills Formation. The Company is logging the hole to gather essential data on lithology, porosity, and permeability. These efforts aim to enhance the confidence in the Boardwalk resource.
Significance of Controlled Well
Rob Shewchuk, CEO of LithiumBank, stated that controlling their own licensed well allows for better brine sampling and subsurface data collection. This approach aids in validating regional data, upgrading resource classification, and assessing lithium concentration continuity over the 232-meter Leduc Formation.
Advancing Direct Lithium Extraction
On August 5th, the Company deepened its 10-06 well, enabling data collection for lithological and geophysical analysis. Bulk brine samples will undergo Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) testing at their pilot facility in Calgary, improving their exclusive DLE technology.
