The Demo Project marks progress from E3 Lithium’s Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) pilot program conducted in 2023. This pilot showcased the technical feasibility of multiple DLE technologies, including E3’s proprietary methods. The project’s data supported the Pre-Feasibility Study, confirming the economic viability of lithium projects in Alberta.

Operational Highlights of the Demo Facility

The upcoming facility will scale up the DLE system and introduce processes for purification, concentration, and chemical conversion. These efforts aim to create battery-grade lithium carbonate from brine continuously. With added offsite hydroxide developments, the Demo Project aims to replicate a commercial-scale system to generate real-time data and optimize each step towards completing a feasibility study.
